(Positive Afterschool Recreation for Kids) - PARK grades 3 & 4 February The PARK Afterschool  Program is for students in grades 3-7 to have a safe, fun and engaging  afterschool experience.  It is also the intent of the program to foster a sense of community and to forge new and lasting friendships among the students attending the program. The PARK program provides a structured environment in which these students will be encouraged to try new activities with their peers, strengthening their social skills, self esteem and leadership potential through physical, social, fun, artistic and educational activities.   Students are grouped by grade: 3rd, 4th and middle school.  Students in grades 3 and 4 may choose from a daily list of options offered for set blocks of time. Groups will be determined by interest and will be organized and directed by program staff. All activities/ choices will be supervised and offer an engaging mix of active and passive recreational pursuits. The program provides students with a healthy and nutritious snack, as well as providing time for students to work on homework.   Students may participate in this program on a daily as needed basis ranging from one day of coverage per week up to a full five days of coverage per week from the end of the school day until 5:30 P.M.    Cost for elementary school students is $15, and $10 for middle school students.NO REFUNDSSCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO MEET REQUIREMENTS!Contact Sharon Stark at sstark@chatham-ma.gov
