If people are waiting for a court and/or partners,
Play doubles only (no singles).
Score to 9, win by 2.
Relinquish the court after completing your game and allow others to play.
There are gates at all four corners of the courts. Enter and exit using the gate closest to to your court. Do not walk onto an active court.
If your ball strays onto another court, call “ball on court” and wait for the ball to be returned to you. If your game is interrupted by a stray ball, stop and replay the point.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship:
Be respectful and courteous to your opponents and partners.
Line calls are made solely by the receiving team; give your opponents the benefit of the doubt and accept their line calls graciously.

Yoga with Jackie! - Restorative Yoga- Thursday Yoga with Jackie @ Chatham Community Center Teacher Bio In 2024, after practicing yoga for nearly 20 years, Jackie chose to follow her heart to India to study yoga and train to become a yoga instructor. After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Vinyasa Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, Jackie returned to the United States to teach yoga and share its many benefits with her students. Functional Strength Training - Functional STrength Training- Friday Join Dr. Maggie Curtis from Harbor Strength Physical Therapy for a 45 minute long strength training class. Each class will begin with a dynamic warm up followed by upper and lower body strengthening as well as postural and functional exercises. Classes will utilize various equipment including light and heavy dumbbells, resistance bands and steps. Exercises will be tailored to the individual and will emphasize proper form. Bio- Maggie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She treats many different patient populations including; sports, pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. During member-only playing time, use the sign-up board to initiate play according to your skill level and experience. Strike a balance between level-specific and mixed-level games while being sensitive to the preferences of others.
If people are waiting for a court and/or partners,
Play doubles only (no singles).
Score to 9, win by 2.
Relinquish the court after completing your game and allow others to play.
There are gates at all four corners of the courts. Enter and exit using the gate closest to to your court. Do not walk onto an active court.
If your ball strays onto another court, call “ball on court” and wait for the ball to be returned to you. If your game is interrupted by a stray ball, stop and replay the point.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship:
Be respectful and courteous to your opponents and partners.

After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Vinyasa Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, Jackie returned to the United States to teach yoga and share its many benefits with her students. It is also the intent of the program to foster a sense of community and to forge new and lasting friendships among the students attending the program. The PARK program provides a structured environment in which these students will be encouraged to try new activities with their peers, strengthening their social skills, self esteem and leadership potential through physical, social, fun, artistic and educational activities. Students are grouped by grade: 3rd, 4th and middle school. Students in grades 3 and 4 may choose from a daily list of options offered for set blocks of time. Groups will be determined by interest and will be organized and directed by program staff. All activities/ choices will be supervised and offer an engaging mix of active and passive recreational pursuits. The program provides students with a healthy and nutritious snack, as well as providing time for students to work on homework. Students may participate in this program on a daily as needed basis ranging from one day of coverage per week up to a full five days of coverage per week from the end of the school day until 5:30 P.M. P.A.R.K. (Positive Afterschool Recreation for Kids) - PARK grades 3 & 4 September The PARK Afterschool Program is for students in grades 3-7 to have a safe, fun and engaging afterschool experience. It is also the intent of the program to foster a sense of community and to forge new and lasting friendships among the students attending the program. The PARK program provides a structured environment in which these students will be encouraged to try new activities with their peers, strengthening their social skills, self esteem and leadership potential through physical, social, fun, artistic and educational activities. Students are grouped by grade: 3rd, 4th and middle school. Students in grades 3 and 4 may choose from a daily list of options offered for set blocks of time. Groups will be determined by interest and will be organized and directed by program staff. All activities/ choices will be supervised and offer an engaging mix of active and passive recreational pursuits. The program provides students with a healthy and nutritious snack, as well as providing time for students to work on homework. Students may participate in this program on a daily as needed basis ranging from one day of coverage per week up to a full five days of coverage per week from the end of the school day until 5:30 P.M. Functional Strength Training - Functional STrength Training- Friday Join Dr. Maggie Curtis from Harbor Strength Physical Therapy for a 45 minute long strength training class. Each class will begin with a dynamic warm up followed by upper and lower body strengthening as well as postural and functional exercises. Classes will utilize various equipment including light and heavy dumbbells, resistance bands and steps. Exercises will be tailored to the individual and will emphasize proper form. Bio- Maggie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She treats many different patient populations including; sports, pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. Maggie owns Harbor Strength Physical Therapy and provides PT services in client’s homes. She leads fitness classes with an emphasis on strength training, rehabilitation and injury prevention. P.A.R.K. (Positive Afterschool Recreation for Kids) - PARK grades 3 & 4 September The PARK Afterschool Program is for students in grades 3-7 to have a safe, fun and engaging afterschool experience. It is also the intent of the program to foster a sense of community and to forge new and lasting friendships among the students attending the program. The PARK program provides a structured environment in which these students will be encouraged to try new activities with their peers, strengthening their social skills, self esteem and leadership potential through physical, social, fun, artistic and educational activities. Students are grouped by grade: 3rd, 4th and middle school. Students in grades 3 and 4 may choose from a daily list of options offered for set blocks of time. Groups will be determined by interest and will be organized and directed by program staff. All activities/ choices will be supervised and offer an engaging mix of active and passive recreational pursuits. The program provides students with a healthy and nutritious snack, as well as providing time for students to work on homework. Students may participate in this program on a daily as needed basis ranging from one day of coverage per week up to a full five days of coverage per week from the end of the school day until 5:30 P.M. Functional Strength Training - Functional STrength Training- Friday Join Dr. Maggie Curtis from Harbor Strength Physical Therapy for a 45 minute long strength training class. Each class will begin with a dynamic warm up followed by upper and lower body strengthening as well as postural and functional exercises. Classes will utilize various equipment including light and heavy dumbbells, resistance bands and steps. Exercises will be tailored to the individual and will emphasize proper form. Bio- Maggie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She treats many different patient populations including; sports, pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. Maggie owns Harbor Strength Physical Therapy and provides PT services in client’s homes. She leads fitness classes with an emphasis on strength training, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Functional Strength Training - Functional STrength Training- Friday Join Dr. Maggie Curtis from Harbor Strength Physical Therapy for a 45 minute long strength training class. Each class will begin with a dynamic warm up followed by upper and lower body strengthening as well as postural and functional exercises. Classes will utilize various equipment including light and heavy dumbbells, resistance bands and steps. Exercises will be tailored to the individual and will emphasize proper form. Bio- Maggie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She treats many different patient populations including; sports, pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. Maggie owns Harbor Strength Physical Therapy and provides PT services in client’s homes. She leads fitness classes with an emphasis on strength training, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Functional Strength Training - Functional Strength Training- Saturday Join Dr. Maggie Curtis from Harbor Strength Physical Therapy for a 45 minute long strength training class. Each class will begin with a dynamic warm up followed by upper and lower body strengthening as well as postural and functional exercises. Classes will utilize various equipment including light and heavy dumbbells, resistance bands and steps. Exercises will be tailored to the individual and will emphasize proper form. Bio- Maggie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She treats many different patient populations including; sports, pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. Maggie owns Harbor Strength Physical Therapy and provides PT services in client’s homes. She leads fitness classes with an emphasis on strength training, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Our values embrace community, inclusivity, good sportsmanship, and player development.To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, we ask everyone to abide by the following guidelines:
Understand and follow the rules of the game as defined by the USA Pickleball Association.
Play at your own risk.
Court shoes are strongly recommended for all players. Keep the inside of the courts clean and free of clothing, pickleball bags, backpacks, water bottles, and other equipment.
During member-only playing time, use the sign-up board to initiate play according to your skill level and experience. Strike a balance between level-specific and mixed-level games while being sensitive to the preferences of others.
If people are waiting for a court and/or partners,
Play doubles only (no singles).
Score to 9, win by 2.
Relinquish the court after completing your game and allow others to play.
There are gates at all four corners of the courts. Enter and exit using the gate closest to to your court. Do not walk onto an active court.
If your ball strays onto another court, call “ball on court” and wait for the ball to be returned to you. If your game is interrupted by a stray ball, stop and replay the point.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship:
Be respectful and courteous to your opponents and partners.
Line calls are made solely by the receiving team; give your opponents the benefit of the doubt and accept their line calls graciously.
Call any foot faults at the baseline or kitchen line committed by you or your partner.
Play your best game but remember this is a recreational sport. Tailor your intensity of play to the skill/experience of your opponents and help newer players learn the game.
Keep your cool on and off the court. Refrain from verbal outbursts or profanity.
Be aware that lessons, league play, and tournaments are not permitted without prior approval from the Chatham Beaches & Recreation Department.
