The PARK Afterschool  Program is for students in grades 3-7 to have a safe, fun and engaging  afterschool experience.  It is also the intent of the program to foster a sense of community and to forge new and lasting friendships among the students attending the program. The PARK program provides a structured environment in which these students will be encouraged to try new activities with their peers, strengthening their social skills, self esteem and leadership potential through physical, social, fun, artistic and educational activities.   Students are grouped by grade: 3rd, 4th and middle school.  Students in grades 3 and 4 may choose from a daily list of options offered for set blocks of time. Groups will be determined by interest and will be organized and directed by program staff. All activities/ choices will be supervised and offer an engaging mix of active and passive recreational pursuits. The PARK Afterschool  Program is for students in grades 3-7 to have a safe, fun and engaging  afterschool experience.  It is also the intent of the program to foster a sense of community and to forge new and lasting friendships among the students attending the program. The PARK program provides a structured environment in which these students will be encouraged to try new activities with their peers, strengthening their social skills, self esteem and leadership potential through physical, social, fun, artistic and educational activities.   Students are grouped by grade: 3rd, 4th and middle school.  Students in grades 3 and 4 may choose from a daily list of options offered for set blocks of time. Groups will be determined by interest and will be organized and directed by program staff. All activities/ choices will be supervised and offer an engaging mix of active and passive recreational pursuits. Yoga with Jackie @ Chatham Community Center Teacher Bio In 2024, after practicing yoga for nearly 20 years, Jackie chose to follow her heart to India to study yoga and train to become a yoga instructor. After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Vinyasa Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, Jackie returned to the United States to teach yoga and share its many benefits with her students. Jackie is a fun-loving, adventurous spirit who leads her life with kindness and compassion. She loves motivating people and encouraging them to believe in themselves.  Jackie teaches Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative yoga as well as meditation and Pranayama.Class Schedule  Classic Hatha YogaMondays, 7pm60 minutes$10 Foundational yoga for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
